“The first Greek Frame Drums Meeting was held in the sacred town of Mesolóngi from March 17–20 and featured daily workshops on all styles of frame drumming by N. Scott Robinson, including Brazilian pandeiro, Arabic riqq, Indian kanjira, modern bodhran, Azerbaijani ghaval, and Moroccan bendir, workshops in Greek traditional rhythms by Nikolaos Forlidas, Greek frame drumming on the Epirotiko defi by Gerasimos Siasos, and a solo concert by N. Scott Robinson. Participants came from Greece, Spain, Switzerland, and Denmark.”
